OmniStructures
Flexible Tooling at Its Best
Omni Structures is a pioneer and world leader in the development of flexible tooling
systems. Omni is dedicated to helping engineers and technicians build superior flexible
workholding fixtures, gauges and special machines. The flexible concept refers to
a method in which inspection tooling is constructed from standard off-the-shelf modules.
These modules may be configured as desired in the building of inspection equipment.
And, when this equipment is no longer needed, the flexible modules are used to build
the next generation of equipment.

S75 Macro Series
75 - Macro (S75) is the standard sized and best selling Omni modular fixturing product.
The design adapts to virtually any shape and a wide variety of tooling from CMM holding
fixtures to gauging and light assembly. S75 is used as the location and clamping details
of large fixtures in conjuction with XTR, with Reference or S250 - Super . S75 bases
are used with S37 - Micro for small part fixtures. S75 is the start and end of all
Omni fixtures.
Platform Sizes:
(3" x 6", 6" x 12", 9" x 18", 12" x 24") x .750" thick
(3" Sq., 6" Sq., 9" Sq., 12" Sq., 15 Sq.) x .750" thick.
Extender Sizes:
Single Width: .75" x (12", 18", 24") x .750" thick.
Dual Width: 1.50" x (12", 18", 24", 36", 48") x .750" thick.
Reference Bases:
Custom sizes in 3" increments up to 36" square, and 30" x 60" and 36" square. These
bases can be joined for larger surface areas. The Reference Hole Pattern can be machined
into any fixture base.

S37 Micro Series
37 - Micro (S37) is the half-scale version of the Omni Series 75 - Macro (S75) modular
fixturing system. It is the only system of its kind in the industry. S37 is designed
for small parts in the 3/4" to 6" range.
The smaller components allow building to finer details without obscuring the required
measurement or access points. S37 adapts to S75 with a few simple, versatile adapters.
These allow the construction of larger fixtures on S75 Base Platforms or mating to
the small details of larger parts. S37 can be used on CMMs, video/optical systems
and other measuring systems.
Platform Sizes:
(1.5" x 3" & 3" x 6") x .375" thick (aluminum)
6" x 9" x .50" thick (clear polycarbonate)
Extender Sizes: .75" x 12" x .750" thick (S75 - Macro extenders with adapters).
Any size Macro Extender or Base Platform can be used to connect multiple S37 Platforms.

S37 Micro Vision Series
37 - Micro Vision (S37v) is clear Platform version of the standard S37 Micro (S37)
system and half-scale version of the Omni Series 75 - Macro (S75) modular fixturing
system. It is designed specifically to hold small parts on vision inspection systems.
The clear 6” x 9” Platform allows the rear illumination from vision inspection system
to pass unrestricted for the proper shadow effect. Simple adaptable clamps secure
the Platform to any vision system and if necessary multiple Platforms can be connected
into large workholding surfaces.
Platform Sizes: 6.00" x 9.00" x .50" Clear polycarbonate
(1.50" x 3.00" & 3.00"” x 6.00") x .375" thick (aluminum) used for surface illumination
Platforms are secured to the measurement machine with Platform Clamps.
Extender Sizes:
.75" x 12" x .750" thick (S75 - Macro extenders with adapters). Any size Macro Extender
or Base Platform can be used to connect multiple S37 Micro Vision Platforms.

XTR XTR
is the combination of special Omni Platforms, connection components and a variety
of extruded tube sections to build columns and crossmembers. These assemblies will
easily hold large stampings or heavy parts. S75 provides the adjustment, location
and clamping components. Reference Plates provide the primary base support system.
Complete tooling tables and walls can be constructed with Omni XTR.
XTR Column Sizes:
Footprint: 1.5" x 3", 3" x 3", 3" x 6" other sizes available for special applications.
Length: standard pieces 6" to 36", specials available.
XTR Cap Sizes:
3" square, 3" x 6", 6" square. Standard Omni Platforms can be adapted.
XTR Base Sizes:
3" x 6", 6" square. Standard Omni Platforms can be adapted.
Hole Spacings:
Omni Penta™ - two interlaced .75" square patterns with special countersinks and attachment
holes.
Base & Cap Tooling Holes:
Standard Omni S75 3/8-16, minor diameter held to .313" - .3145"
Base & Cap Connections:
5/16-18 and ¼-20

S250 Super Series
250 - Super (S250) is a tubular system for building large fixtures, gauges and test
equipment. Based on a 2.5" aluminum tube using Omni's proprietary cross-hole system
and stacking capabilities. The S/Towers are the principle building components with
the S/Bridges as the means to connect between the towers. The various inserts add
threaded or thru-holes providing the connection between the tubes, Series 75 tooling
components, or dedicated datum and clamping details.
S250 components are used with the Series 75 Base Platforms on Extenders or Omni's
Reference Plates as the base system. Special order.
S/Tower Sizes:
2.5" square x (3", 6", 9", 12", 15")
S/Bridge Sizes:
2.5" square x (13", 19", 25", 37")
Inserts:
A variety of Inserts are available for connections and mounting additional components.

Reference Plates Reference
Plates are the rigid backbone of a very efficient building technique using Datum Tooling
Stations (DTS). Omni Reference Plates are available in standard sizes up to 30" x
60" and 36" x 36". Custom sizes are available in 3" increments. Multiple plates can
be combined into even larger tooling surfaces. Reference plates have a unique hole
pattern designed to hold any S75 or XTR base platforms. This pattern and Omni’s thru-hole
doweling capabilities provide the means to quickly change fixtures on a common base.
A Reference Plate system can be designed in vertical, horizontal, or special orientations
and combinations. The largest Reference Plate system currently in use is 240" x 60"
(as shown in the photo).
Datum Tooling Stations (DTS) consist of tooling towers built from various components
on a single platform. A typical Datum Tooling Station would include a platform with
at least one tower and whatever combination of location pads, clamps, and indicators/gauging
equipment is deemed necessary to complete the task at hand. DTS are usually dedicated
to a project through completion. They are then either dissembled or removed and left
intact for later use with the same project.
Plate Sizes:
30" x 30", 36" x 36", 30" x 60" other sizes available in 3" increments 1" thick
Reference Plates can be joined to form larger tooling surfaces.
The Reference hole pattern can be machined into any gauge base for portable fixture
systems.
Hole Pattern:
4 holes in a .750" square pattern, each "quad" of holes is spaced on 3.000" centers.
